Behind every initiative at REECH is a team of dedicated people guiding the organisation with care, expertise, and vision. Our Board members bring a wealth of experience to ensure we serve communities responsibly and effectively.

Jenny Knight

Co-founder & Chair

BPsy, BA(Hons), Dip Ed, MPH, PhD

Jenny brings a strong background in education, public health and psychology which informs many of the programs and projects REECH undertakes. As a twenty year old she took a year off her undergrad uni studies to live and work in Indonesia – an experience which significantly shaped her life and values. She is passionate about empowering young women through education and ensuring sound evidence based mental health knowledge and practices are accessible to the agencies and population groups REECH supports.

Jenny is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has a strong interest in governance and policy development.

James Smith

Co-founder and Secretary

Cert Human Resources, Grad Dip in Public Administration

James first visited Cambodia in 2008 and has been returning pretty much every year since. He is actively involved in every facet of REECH’s work particularly when in Cambodia where he manages teams, logistics and transport along with purchases resources and supplies to be provided to various agencies REECH supports.

He lives in Sydney and, along with Jenny, has one adult son.

Renee Black

Board member

BA Dip Ed

Renee is a high school economics and business studies teacher at an independent girls’ school in Sydney. She is passionate about educating young women and is very aware of the options a good education provides. She regularly visits Cambodia and is actively involved in many of the programs REEECH supports particularly the SoulSpace retreats which regularly runs retreats for Khmer and expat women in leadership.

She is the mother of three daughters and grandmother to four grandchildren.

Diana Bond

Board member

BNursing, PhD

Diana has spent much of her married life living and working in developing nations including Thailand and Turkiye and is well placed to advise the REECH board on cross-cultural sensitivities and issues. Professionally, she has a nursing background and now holds a senior research position in a multi-disciplinary team with a child health focus within the Faculty of Medicine and Health, The University of Sydney.

Diana currently lives in Sydney with her husband. They have three adult children and one adorable granddaughter.

Colin Raymond

Board member

BSc, MBA

Colin has a strong background in finances having worked for international agencies and not-for-profits for several decades. He has extensive international development experience including agencies based in South-east Asia. He is currently Chair of the Australian based not-for-profit agency Asian Aid Organisation Limited.

Colin lives in Sydney with his wife. They are parents to three adult children and three grandchildren.
